I bought this after returning a Summer monitor that quit working. This one worked well only for the first day. Then, it stopped finding the signal. EVEN if we had the receiver inches away from the transmitter! I purchased it right before a trip so it made for stressful traveling. Thank goodness for Walmart's return policies. Don't buy this! I paid more for a motorola one that has now worked flawlessly for over 1 year.

My daughter is 7 months now, and we have had this monitor since she was born. She slept in our room for the first 4 months than she moved into her room and we started to use this monitor more often. Well within a month of using it the camera stopped working and we sent it back and they fixed it and returned back to us...took several weeks with no monitor. Now, its back to having issues. This time, its the camera, i cant take it off the charger at all. It dies within 15 minutes! Not only those issues, but there have been small things i havent enjoyed either. The vibration detection randomly vibrates when my daughter is sound asleep and no movement, the lullaby (which i love the feature) cuts in and out which does not really help her go to sleep when its so choppy. I was very excited about this monitor but how good can it be when i have to constantly return it and wait weeks to recieve a replacement or it to be fixed?

I do not usually write reviews on anything, but I paid WAY to much money on a monitor that stopped working at around 4 months of having it. It has a warranty for a year and thank god for that or I would be out $160.00 for a piece of junk. Buy at your own risk. It is being replaced but my confidence in this next one is not too high.

do NOT get this. i ordered the 1st one and out of nowhere it stopped working one night. started beeping and my husband (who is an electrician) opened it up thinking maybe a wire was loose. he couldnt figure it out and we returned it. thought maybe it was just a bad unit. ordered another one. we have new, thick carpet. my son pulled the camera down maybe 2ft and it lightly hit the carpet. it then stopped working again and started beeping. this is a cheaply made unit. spend more, get a better monitor that wont keep breaking down. my other girlfriends with video monitors have had theirs for 2+ years, and never had an issue.

I ordered this Camera out of the USA and had it shipped to Canada because monitor brands are limited here and very $$. Upon using this for the last week I like the features like playing music, showing room temperature, the motion/sound detection. The only con is the picture quailty, and although pretty good my summer infant monitor had an amazing picture - but so much static we got rid of it after a year. Overall really good monitor for the value with lots of options. The paging system and VOX control is pretty neat. I would buy again.
