I initially liked this device, but had a short battery life (1-2 hrs after fully charged). Contacted Levana they were good and provided another battery, but still died quickly. Thus, I used the monitor plugged in most of the time. Decent device with good features, but I believe these monitors have gone a long way since. Would buy a Levana product again due to good customer service.

This monitor is junk. We set this up for my toddler so he could be in his own bedroom. Before moving my son to his own room we experimented with the unit. When it was working it would have to be plugged in all night because it would not stay charged for long. When listening to the sound from the bedroom or when talking through the unit the sound was very distorted as well. The picture quality was not that great either. This would be a great cheaper unit if it had not come apart right after buying it and if the sound wasn't so bad. We had our son in his bedroom for only a couple of nights when the video monitor stop charging all together. We didn't return it because we had thrown the box away and misplaced the receipt. Since my husband is very handy he took it apart. The charging port on the interior of the monitor had come apart from the casing and was down inside the unit. On a brighter note this unit does have a great signal.

My husband purchased this monitor to use for our son (who is now 11 months old) after our older daughter dropped our Summer Infant monitor (which we had for over 5 years). Within 2 months, the date & time function was not working & we were unable to turn the monitor off. Also, the screen would sometimes go completely black. I called Levana customer service & was told that I would have to send the monitor to them in Niagara Falls, ON so they could examine it. I had to pay the shipping costs ($13.44), which was non-refundable. I was told that their investigation could take up to 6 weeks. As I did not want to be without a monitor for such a long time, they agreed to send me a replacement monitor but I would have to provide a credit card to pay for it. I was advised that I would get a refund if they found that the monitor was indeed defective. I was told a charge of $144.99 would be placed on my credit card (even though we only paid $99.97 for it at Walmart). When I got my credit card statement, I saw that I was charged $167.70 - $144.99 plus HST & then converted from USD to CDN. I was never told that the $144.99 was in USD. I received the replacement monitor within a week but now less than a month later, the date & time function has stopped working, the monitor will not turn off & the screen is completely blank. The sound function is also not working - instead there is a clicking noise. I find it hard to believe that 2 monitors could both be defective. This is a horrible product. I've been on hold with customer service for the past 30 minutes. Let's see what they can do.
