Summer Wide View 2.0 Digital Color Video Monitor w/ Remote Control Camera

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this camera. Especially love the fact you can take the moniter with you wherever you are at. Also like the fact you can talk to the baby through it and i love the night light built in the baby loves it as well

We have only used this monitor about 4 times so far. The monitor battery barely lasts the ten hours that's advertised. The picture quality is HORRIBLE-even in daylight I can't tell if my daughters eyes are opened or closed. The device has already had an issue syncing. The cost of this device does not match the quality or technology.

We loved this monitor for about a year, and then the screen would only work while plugged in, then only when plugged in and the cord was exactly right. Now the screen turns on for a second, freezes, and sits with a static image for hours, even when unplugged (it doesn't usually function at all unless it's plugged in). We can't even turn it off, we just have to wait it out for minutes or hours (it's different every time) and then try again. I don't know if it needs a new battery or new cord or new screen but if I'm paying that much to find out, I'd rather just get a new monitor all together! Even when we can get it to turn on, it's completely unreliable because you never know if/when it's going to turn itself off in the night and if/when you'll be able to turn it back on. I'd love it if the company would just send me a new screen and I would happily update my review because I have recommended this monitor to everyone and we really did love it until it started glitching.

I've noticed there have been a lot of negative reviews and I am not sure why. We have had our summer infant monitor for 2 years. We use it every day and night. We have had no issue with it disconnecting with the camera. No issues with sound or color. After two years I've noticed that the battery life has worsened. But after two years, that's pretty dang good. I will buy again for my next child due in October.

I chose this monitor because it had multiple cameras that you could connect to the one so I could see both kids. However, the battery life in the monitor did not last long, you can only have it unplugged for about 1-1.5 hours before it dies. About 6 months after having it it started to act up. It goes out of range all of the time even when you are withing 20 feet of the cameras. It is absolutely useless then if you are not able to see anything. I have tried to sync it many times and it does not help. Would not buy again or recommend to anyone. I paid a lot of money for this for it to be of no use to me.
