Garmin n??vi 650 Automobile Navigator

I thought the unit I had was defective so I returned it. What was defective was the 12 volt outlet in my car. My confusion could have been prevented by having a charging light and/or a diagnostic message that said: "Low Battery, Powering Down". As it was it seemed like the unit was just shuting itself off.

I am a truck driver and need a GPS My sister has a Nuvi 250w I used it for about 2 weeks. I loved it but i didn't want to spend that much money on one. Now i wish i had.I purchaded the 650. I used it for 1 week and hated it. It is slow and doesn't have the features that the 250w has. I carried the 650 back after 1 week and bought the 255w and love it. Spend the extra money it is worth it.

I replaced my Garmin 330 with the new and (I thought improved) nuvi 650. Everything seems to be operating properly except I can't hear it most of the time. If I have the radio playing...forget it. With the old 330 I needed to turn it down all the time. I have the 650 at 100% volume up. Outside of that it works fine.

I am not long on words, but a great product.At a good price. Highly recommended.

I purchased the Garmin Nuvi 650 about two weeks ago and I am amazed with its accuracy. I don't think I'll ever feel "discombobulated" again when I'm on the road alone. This is a terrific product. I also purchased the friction mount which I simply sit on the dashboard and it stays perfectly in place. When I arrive at my destination, I remove everything, including the mount and put it away.
