TomTom GO 720 - GPS navigator - automotive 4.3" widescreen

I have come to not only love but trully depend on my Tom Tom. I travel for a living and am constantly in new states and cities. I can't tell you how comforting it is ot know that I don't have to worry about finding my hotel or my account. With all the things that fill an average business day, having that portiion taken off of my shoulders is awesome. I've down loaded all the Starbuck locations and can quickly find 20 resturants near my hotel. It's a very helpful business tool.

The GO 720 works right out of the box! I did a lot of research on-line, in the stores and talking to friends before I decded to purchase this particular GPS. I considered it to be the best value for the money because of all its features. Buying a GPS from Walmart on-line is the only way to go...The price of this unit was at least $120 less than any other store in the Orlando area. And if something goes wrong with it or you are not satisfied, nobody beats Walmart in its ease of returing merchandise. If you bought this unit from some major electronic retailer, they would charge you a restocking fee of %15 if you returned it. Althought the screen of the GO720 has a lot of information on it besides just the map, you soon get used to all that info and would miss it on another GPS. I have only had the unit three weeks but have used it on several trips and it never misses or fouls up a routing. And should you ignore the directions it gives you,or miss a direction, it immediately finds a way to get you back on track. Thus, I find I can trust this GPS and that is the most important feature of any GPS to me, that you are confident you can rely on it. Another really nice feature of theTom Tom's is the ability to hook it right to your computer and download the latest maps or map correcitons. Sometimes the computer voice mispronounces a street name or speaks it oddly, but you get used to that. Also there are a great number of ways you can customize the way you want your information or displays presented, so it's great as a toy to play with! I was a little disappointed with the Points of Interest the TOm TOm contains. For instance there are vitually no Christian churches listed, but every synagogue in the world seems to be listed. In summary, though, you really can't go wrong with this unit for the great price you can get it for at Walmart

The GPS itself is quite good, nice looking and caculate very quickly. But the map is really bad. I've used it 4 times since I bought it, but 3 of these 4 times it only pointed me to someplace near the destination but can not point me to the exact address I am looking for. And it takes me long time to find the place I am looking for. I am very disappointed with the map.

This is my third GPS and my first TomTom. And it is by far the very best one I've owned. I like the large screen, the hands free calling with my Verizon phone, spoken street names, the very latest maps, and a great customer service experience. I shopped around and found the best price on line at Walmart.com.

I am happy with my Tom Tom 720 so far, it seems to be the best deal for the money. The features are greater for the money than on more expensive brands that I looked at. I don't really have any major complaints thus far. Most of my driving is on rural roads and I have noticed a couple of flaws in the system like it telling you to "turn right" when in fact the road curves to the right. The only other thing is when I get off the exit near my home it says to turn right towards <anycity> when actually I need to turn left. The arrow is pointing left. I would (and HAVE) reccomend this product to anyone looking to purchase. Wal-mart.com had the best price I could find btw. I found them cheaper on Ebay but time you add shipping in the became more expensive.
