DC Super Friends 15 Superman Plush Toy

My son loves the batmobile. He turns the key and races it across the floor or table. He and I will sit and send it back and forth to each other. It has good sounds too. The only gripe I have is that it burns batteries quick but so does every other toy we have so that is expected I guess with lots of use.

Our son received this for Christmas and was soooo in love with it, but was quickly disappointed when the gears started grinding and it wouldn't move forward. We changed the batteries, same thing. The store we purchased it from was happy to replace it for us, but now, 2 days later, we are having the exact same problem. What a disappointment! He loves this car and the little Batman inside so much, but for the price of it, it seems ridiculous to just take the batteries out and let him play with it just like a regular car (at my husband's suggestion). The store we purchased it at, is over an hour away, so hopefully they will still be willing to replace when we get back there, and without the box (we threw it out as we didn't expect to have the same problem twice). We'd love to replace it with something else, but he loves the Batmobile so much. :(

This was a Christmas present for my son; he put this on his Christmas list back in October! I was a little wary of purchasing it based on the plethora of negative reviews featured on this website, but did so in the end due to our positive experiences with other Imaginext products. Fortunately for us, this has been a great toy since it was first opened on Christmas morning. One piece of advice I would offer to anyone buying this product is to immediately get a screwdriver and change the batteries as per the instructions included with the toy. We also experienced many of the same problems as other people on here (e.g. Batmobile lights up, revs up, but quickly shuts down and doesn't move), but all were remedied with new batteries. In fact, the instructions indicate that the batteries should be changed right after purchase. My son has constantly played with this toy, and we have already changed the batteries three times - the toy's performance is still just like new.

My son got this for Christmas, and luckily he didn't know it was supposed to move on its own. It doesn't. You turn the key, and it makes an engine sound that seems to cut off in the middle and then does nothing. He still enjoys pretending to drive it, but what a waste of money- definitely overpriced if it doesn't even do anything. I'm really disappointed, especially after reading these reviews and finding out that this happens over and over. It's too bad, because the rest of the DC Super Friends stuff is pretty great.

Like other parents that have posted reviews about this product, I have bought the Batman Imaginext car and have it make powerful engine noises like you may expect. However, the wheels failed to spin and move 24 feet ...not even a fraction of an inch The car sounded promising, but hasn't delivered. I have changed the batteries 3 times and have not had any change in its performance. I plan to take it back to the store, but would like to not have to worry about the inconvenience as I am a busy working mum.
