Wow! where do I begin? So back in February I purchased a Nintendo Switch Bundle that came with an Ematic Wired controller. It was for my son's birthday. After we received the bundle we began to experience issues with the controller because it would sync with the Switch then after 5 mins. it would disconnect. We tried many troubleshooting tips from google and YouTube and NOTHING worked. I decided to reach out to the people at Ematic and that's when my worst customer service experience began. They gave me the run around on several calls and finally someone reached out to their supervisor who told me they believed the item was defected via email and I was told they can replace it, but I first had to return the controller I had and pay MYSELF for the shipping to send it back. I have NEVER heard any such process in which the consumer had to pay to send the defected item back. I explained that due to the Covid-19 Pandemic that I was out of worked and rather not pay to ship the item back. I was told someone would get back to me and after several weeks I did not hear anything so I called them and was told nothing could be done. I was frustrated so I called Walmart.com and they apologized for the inconvenience and gave me a 15.00 credit and send me a replacement controller. I was grateful for Walmart's willingness to help, however the replacement controller also did not work. I called Walmart and asked if maybe they can send me an actual "Switch" controller made by Nintendo, but since they already sent me a replacement Ematic controller, they could do nothing else on my behalf. So now my son has 2 worthless controllers and I just gave up. As I type this I realize how frustrated I still am. I paid for a Switch Bundle for the purpose of the controller and I felt my concerns as a consumer were not concluded in a proper manner. I hope Walmart no longer does business with this company!! PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS EMATIC CONTROLLER!

I found the joysticks a bit stiff to push (used it for BotW when my joycons were being repaired), but overall, it's a pretty good controller. Cord is short, though, so you'll probably need an extender.

This wired ematic controller came with the Nintendo Switch that was purchased for my son for Christmas. The controller has a nice long cord is a nice red color and is comfortable to hold. My son likes that it has the vibrations to help him feel the action of the game.

Came part of a bundle for my kids for xmas. The controller disconnects at random when playing a game. Have to unplug the cable, plug it back in, it will stay connected again for 30 secs and disconnect. Called customer support for controller and they are sending me another one. See how this goes...

Compared to regular Nintendo brand JoyCon Switch controllers, the differences I can discern are: 1. The shape and weight in your hand. This is very subjective, I don't really prefer either one over the other. 2. It's wired, with about a 7 foot USB cable, so you can't stray further from the switch console than that (and the switch is connected to your TV by an HDMI cable). Time to break out a beanbag to sit close to the TV. 3. The deal-breaker for me: It doesn't include motion sensors, so you can't wave it around in the air to do things like carefully aim your bow in Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Playing feels clumsy without this feature. 4. Being wired, it doesn't need charging like wireless joycons do. This isn't a big deal for me. Plugging the joycons in to charge every couple of weeks feels like less of a hassle than dealing with this wired controllers cable every time I play. 5. The buttons and joysticks have been great, no problems with them. 6. It's very cheap.
