Britax Parkway SGL High Back Booster Car Seat

FYI this does not fit in a Volvo XC70 wagon due to the fixed headrests. Buyer beware you will have to haul it back to where you bought it for return. I wish I had know this before buying. The instillation video hints that it may not fit in all vehicles and this is correct.

I purchased the Britax SGL for my 7 year old because I wanted a high back booster that used LATCH to secure the seat to the car so she didn't have to remember to buckle it when she gets out. She loves the padding and feel of the seat, it's her favorite booster. I like the SecureGuard clip because it reassures me that the seat belt won't ride up on her abdomen in the event of a crash.

Going from a carseat to a booster seat was slightly nerve wracking for me, but after making this purchase I was glad I did. The two cup holders are not only great for drinks, but they hold rocks, little sticks and snacks just as well. I am able to easily adjust the height of the headrest (awesome!) and the fabric has held up very well, no rips or loose threads. The light color on the seat tends to get dirty (maybe my boy is just a dirty kid), but it's easy enough to spot treat. My son never naps, but on rare occasions I'll find him asleep in his booster. I guess it's comfortable as well! Recently, we got in a car accident and my two kiddos (both in Britax seats) were not hurt at all. The side impact protection in this seat is amazing and thank goodness for the latch system. Thank you Britax for protecting my kids and yes, without a doubt, I bought two new Britax seats to replace the old ones.

I bought this car seat for my 3-1/2 year old who is tall for his age. He already exceeded the limit for his other 5-point harness seat and my husband and I started booster seat shopping. I was nervous about him being in a seat belt and I have seen my other nieces and nephews boosters slide around and the children can slouch. Not only does this seat have the lap belt positioner which helps keep it (and my son) in the right position. It also still has the safety latches keeping the seat secured in the car using the car hooks. I love it and it does put my mind at ease.

These seats are well worth the money. I own one of every type of seat that Britax makes except for the infant carrier. I have never had a problem operating them and they are the best at making a seat that comes apart easily for cleaning. I expect that this newest seat will meet all of my expectations as well.
