Blade Runner (Blu-ray)

Excellent picture and sound this is the Blade Runner to get watch a different disc every week.

I am trying to build a collection of BD movies that really show off the quality that Blu-ray is capable of. I had never seen this movie before, but because of the almost universal "5 star" rating this movie has received for both the film itself along with the PQ and SQ, I was tempted to buy it based on that alone just to check it out. But when I discovered that I could get this 5-disk set on blu-ray for under $25 from Walmart, it became no-brainer to take a chance. Not being a huge fan of the "genre", I was not sure what to expect, I heard that for a sci-fi movie some considered it "light" on action and "deep" on thought and I am fine with that, I don't need non-stop action to keep me interested in a movie. I found the movie to be interesting, just not something that grabbed me and made me say "wow". I would give the move 3.5 stars mainly because my hope/expectations we so high base on other reviews, I felt a little let down. But the PQ and SQ met all expectations and it's definitely a movie I will watch again, coupled with the "value" mentioned earlier regarding 5 disks makes me give this 4 stars overall.

I haven't seen this in years. It has all the extras you could want. If you were a fan when it first came out you'll love this.

One of my favorite movies; awesome to see it in blu-ray!

I looked for the theatrical version of this movie for years! I guess it took coming out in BluRay to make it available again.
