I bought this think "Duck" brand would be great, especially since it is supposed to be "High Performance." I won't buy it again. The prongs that keep the end of the tape from sticking to the roll aren't very long. It took me 25 minutes to get the roll operating again. It kept splitting so I kept having to use my fingernail to lift it from the roll. I would have tossed it if it wasn't a brand new tape/dispenser.
Can't go wrong with the Duck tape brands I have a couple of different kinds of tapes of Duck Brand and the dispensers make it great on each roll of packing tape
I ship packages as part of my work. This is my go-to tape for that purpose. It's thick (3.1 mil, which is twice as thick as most standard tape). Sticks very well and doesn't tear and split on the roll nearly as much as thinner tapes. It's not cheap, but you'll use less of it to get the job done.
I refuse to use any other brand. This brand is not so thick that it's hard to work with, and it's not so thin that it just tears in random spots at random times. Works well to package belongings for a move.
Tape itself is great. Applicator is not. It is clumsy to hold and difficult to keep end tape from sticking to main roll. The tabs to keep tape straight are tiny so the tape does slip to main roll and then time lost to unstick!
