Durabrand 3-Piece CD Boom Box w/ Radio Cassette Recorder, CD-1493

I got this item as a christmas gift as I was in the process of moving. I kept the product in the box for 6 months prior to the move, as my things were moved into a storage unit. When I finally opened the box to use it I was very excited as the size was perfect for the RV I had recently purchased. However, the cd player on it has NEVER worked. I didnt notice it right away because I used just the radio on it. However, when I did go to use a cd in it for the first time it kept showing error. I contacted the company and they said there was no longer a warranty on the product. They can fix it at a cost to me. Had I called sooner they would have repaired it without a problem. However, as stated before I had stored it for 6 months prior to my move and no telling how long it was purchased prior to being given to me as a gift. I am very disappointed because I do like the size, and just wish it worked.

I bought this product about five years ago, it still works! It's very strong, it always has a radio signal, and the sound is great!

Had this Durabrand 3-Piece CD Boom Box w/ Radio Cassette Recorder for almost a year in'06. For about 8 months it wa fine. Until the antenna broke at the base. So no radio. Then a month later the CD Player didn't work. I would put a CD inside and then the player would not read it. So I had it as a paperweight until I throw it away.

This boom box was perfect for my small group Bible Studies. I am a mobile minister and carried it everywhere, home groups, hospitals, etc. Product is lightweight, easy handling, excellent sound, cassette player great for re-winding teaching tapes, recording. I gave it to my brother who has cancer, went from active to homebound, I just thought I'll buy me another one but I can't find one. What happened??? I used to see them in the store all the time and brag on what a great product!!! Please I need another one.

My family and I were looking for a stereo. We bought the "Durabrand" one thinking it would work great. When we used it for the first time the cd player ate our cd . So, UNFORTUNETLY we had to return it cd and all. So for anyone looking for this or planning to buy this product. I would not recommend this product.
