Midland WR-100 Weather & Alert Radio

This is one product you really need in your home..it is very reliable in terms of letting you know when dangerous storms are near your area....easily programed....I am very happy with my purchase of this product and recommend it to everyone wanting to be forwarned when dangerous weather is in your area. Very reasonably priced as well. I had mine sent to my local Walmart and picked it up from there...I got notice it was available for pick up in only four days after I ordered it on line. THANKS Walmart.

It's that simple: It does exactly what it's supposed to do- Alerts you when there is a severe weather warning, watch, or notification. I was a little slow customizing it to my local area, but it wasn't too hard to program. It comes ready to receive all alerts within range with no setup, and that's OK if you want to hear everything. When I had enough of that, I took a few minutes to program it for only the nearby counties, and that works just fine. Neat technology, made possibly by a government agency, NOAA- who knew! A good product, reliable and dependable. The only thing I would change is the volume- at the lowest setting it's still too loud for me. But I guess that's the idea: To wake you up and alert you to a dangerous weather situation.

This weather radio was very easy to set up ... instructions are clear and easy to understand. Very neat looking and easy to operate. It's a peace of mind knowing it will alert you to weather conditions ... and the fact it's also battery powered is good to know if the power goes off. I just wouldn't be without one!

I had bought one this years ago I told man we here SE Ohio has excape the dangerous storms to long and here on 9-16-2010 had tornados that hit here and I had tracked them by this radio. like it so much I had bought two more as Christmas gifts. BUT WHAT NICE ABOUT IT YOU DONT HEAR ANY THING FROM IT UNTIL AN ALERT IS GIVEN IN YOUR AREA.

it's too bad all products don't fulfill their purpose as well as this does. this is THE best weather radio i've EVER owned. i have so much faith in this products ability to protect my family, i've thrown away all the others and just purchased a 2nd one for my rv.
