can hear outside noise and one pair no matter where used or how loud volume has bad static sound I wouldnt recommend these ended up purchasing another pair of different brand
I've been using these headphones now for about two or three weeks. I was looking for a inexpensive set that worked good enough for just watching TV at night but I didn't want to pay for a set that went all around the house or anything like that. What I ended up getting was a set works good all around the living room and also works all around the house. The batteries in the receiver (9-volt) do die fast but there is a optional AC adapter that I do not have yet. The batteries in the headset ( 2-AAA ) seem to last much longer. The reception is good as long as the batteries are good. Some reviews talk about a speaker on the outside of the headset. There is NO speaker on the outside, just a speaker like "mesh" on the outside that you can hear the sound through if the volume is up so loud that you would blow out your ears. With the twin pack you get two headsets, two receivers and all the plugs you should need. Both headsets work on just one receiver, which could be good or bad. Good if you only want to use it for one TV or computer ect. Bad if your trying to hook up two different devices in the same house ( I would assume ). Don't get me wrong, these headphones are not build to the highest standards. The battery compartment doors are very fragile. Be very gentile when opening them because the little tabs at the one side of the cover are small and will break easily. The headphones will still work but you will have to tape it to keep it on. But for the price, and getting two sets for that price not one set, they were worth a shot to me. I'm happy with mine so far. If they last six months with no problems, I'm going to buy at least one more twin pack. I hope I could help you with this review.
I haven't found anything to beat these price wise. After trying them, they also work great. What else can you say? Except, simple to connect to any TV, VCR, DVD etc. with RCA audio outputs (the red/white connectors) or even a headphone jack. Good quality audio (not home stereo quality) that allows me to listen to TV programs over the sound of a treadmill or stationary bicycle. Light enough and comfortable - don't fall off while jogging.
Shopped around in the stores for a set of wireless headphones to use while the kids were asleep. The cheapest was $50 for one pair and nobody could tell me if two pairs would work at the same time. I did a quick internet search and these popped up. Had to be too good to be true, 2 pairs for $30. Wouldn't hurt to give them a try. They arrived and I set them up (they came with multiple adapters to use depending on your TV which was another surprise because we can't get to the headphone jack where our TV is situated and I figured I'd have to get a cord to pipe the two audios into one wire. Didn't need it). The kids went to bed and it was test time. Turned them on and at first thought they didn't work. Just had to move the the thing that connects to the TV a bit and we were in business. Watched a whole movie with great sound and the kids weren't the wiser. Since then we've used them often, I've even used them while vacuuming. All in all, great purchase. I never write reviews but was so surprisingly pleased with the quality and price of this product that I thought I'd share my experience!!!!
This did not cost that much so I wasn't expecting a lot. Unfortunately not much is just what I received. The transmitter would only work with a battery when I tried it. After a bit of checking, I was told the power supply that came with this was bad. Radio Shack set me up with a new one and that fixed that. The speakers are very cheap with poor sound quality. They say you should get good signal within 100 feet. I think that is wishful thinking. With fresh batteries you can expect about 50 feet. Any farther away and it gets all static filled and breaks up. If you need a wireless setup, Save up a little more money. It is not worth what I spent. .
