The buckle was supposed to be matte black and the holes reinforced with metal grommets, but I received a collar with chrome buckle and a single hole that wasn't reinforced at all. False Advertising.
Kinda small but just right for lacing through the collar of the Puppy Bumper I put on my fur baby when I let her go out in the yard. Clasp is a little stiff until the first 2 or 3 times I used it. I recommend if you don’t want to spend a lot of money.
The buckle is metal. The loop is metal. The piece that inserts is plastic of course, it has to flex but it locks tightly! I tried to force it to open, no way! And if your dog pulls that hard use a harness. I thought it would be a little wider, but it's actually perfect. The Camo colors can vary obviously. Mine was darker than shown. Hey it's Camo. Easily adjustable with lots of room to grow. Large fit my 55 pound Lab puppy. Price reasonable.
At first I loved this collar! The huge reflective stripes were wonderful! With the large stripes it lit up my senior dog that doesn't get around quickly. The reason I gave it one star is because I have only had it for a week and more than half the stripes have fallen off. As stated before, my dog is a senior, so the collar has not been rough housed or abused.
We use this everyday. Strong, durable and adds extra safety for my big male Catahoula when hes out on his runner. This is a great priced, very well made product. When hes outside at night I can easily feel secure when I locate him instantly because of the reflection from his collar. Very comfortable on his neck protecting his neck %26 throat from him pulling %26 running. I will continue to buy %26 use this collar. These Collars last a long time with everyday use!
