Great Value Milk 1% Low-fat, Half Gallon, Plastic Jug

I've bought the one percent milk for years. I try to get great value each time. I prefer the great value brand over any other. I've had to use some from Publix before and it was watery and no taste. If the 1 % is out of stock I use great value 2%. Both taste so good.

I like the milk very much, and it's a very good value. What I don't like is that they never order enough of the Great Value brand. They order the more expensive brands and if I want to buy milk the day or two before the truck brings the GV milk, I have to buy the more expensive brand or get a GV milk with a very close sell by date. In other words, very often when I go to buy milk there will only be a few GV 1% half gallons, all which expire within the next 3 or 4 days, while there are still a dozen or more Highland 1% half gallons, with sell by dates a week or more away. Whoever does the buying needs to buy fewer Highland and more GV!!

Dont know what's going on with great value milk, %26 cottage cheese but it goes bad so QUICK! Open milk on Sept 7th, horrible bad next morning with a best used by Sept 19th. This has happened, 3xs now. So though its more than dbl I'm going back to Prairie Farm or if I'm at Aldis get theirs.

I have purchased this product for years and would have given it 5 stars. My recent purchases expire much earlier than the expiration date. I am not sure why this is occurring. Perhaps because I have it delivered, it is not staying cold enough to keep this from happening. It has also accumulated milk around the top edge, and it smells curdled, which also impacts the flavor after pouring milk. The price is good but quality has declined in the past few months for me.

I don't know what the current handling process is of your dairy products but they need to be changed. The last 6 cartons of milk I purchased have spoiled well before their "best if used by" dates I just purchased a jug of milk on Aug 8th. Use by date was the 14th. It was spoiled by the 11th.
