Organic Valley Organic Fat Free Skim Milk, Half Gallon, 64 fl oz

This milk was out of date, 7/6/2023

Delivered 5/18. Expiration date was 5/2. Threw all of it out.

Whoever shopped my order, DID NOT look at the expiration date on these 3 half gallons of milk. They had expiration date of Sept 1, 2022. Today is Oct 4th! Why were these milk cartons EVEN ON YOUR SHELVES , over a month past the expiration date! Don't you remove expired products from your shelves? Don't employees check to see if items are fresh? Since I am having company this week, it is VERY inconvenient for me to have to make a special trip to another store just to get milk. I would have accepted other types of milk such as 1% or regular, even non organic with my order, rather than what I was offered today as a very poor substitute for the skim organic milk I usually buy. This was a VERY POOR substitution of a basic product . When a person orders 3 cartons of milk, it means they need 3 cartons of milk or a useable substitute. I can't go a week without having milk !

This is the milk I always try to buy, when it's in stock. While many brands are "organic" or "grass fed" and claim to care about animal welfare, those claims are often misleading. An independent study showed that this brand got top marks when it came to animal welfare. Other brands, which seem to be animal-welfare conscious, got low marks. So I always try to get this brand. Plus, the milk tastes great!

When I first received a free sample of this ORGANIC VALLEY MILK from pinch.com I was a little skeptical, since I was kind of unfamiliar with the brand. After reading all of the information regarding not only the milk, but also all of the things that go into this product, I figured it had to be not only good for me, but also good for the livestock. This milk is super yummy. I really love the fact that its clean and organic, is nutricious and better for you. I also really loved the fact that it supports local farmers. All of this is win win for me!!! :)
