Honestly I bought these same boots about a year ago and they were great. So I bought them again again they are awful. There is a plastic shank that goes from the heal up half way. If my sock slips and I pull it up their will alter how the inside is and the plastic shank will rub my Achilles tendon. To correct the issue I have to take the boot all the way off and put it back on. Waste of money considering all I do is walk 12 hours up and down ballast. Been wearing them two weeks and the interior stitching is starting to fail.

These boots only get three stars because I had to push the gusset forward from its original position to keep it from digging into my upper ankle on the inside left of the left boot. There is also a distinctive squeak while walking coming from the right boot's heel. There is also a very strong chemical smell emanating from the boots themselves ( hopefully this will dissipate over time).

I'm really liking these boots. I have 50+ miles on them and they are very comfortable. No problem wearing these all day. Very good quality. I returned my first pair because of fit and got a half size larger and wide. I'm right on the edge of size and width. New pair fits perfect wearing Merino wool socks with room for my feet to flatten out after a 10+ mile hike. Return process was easy with no hassle.

Light weight and comfortable. I can wear these with blue jeans or the Combat Uniform and be on my feet for hours. They are light weight and look awesome. I need to wear them out which will take me a few years before I can really judge the materials

They represent a seemingly excellent value for the price, yet in my instance they unfortunately didn't work out. One lazy 8 mile ride home on my motorcycle tore the non-flesh-side-out toe right through on the first day of wearing. Granted, it's not a motorcycle boot, but every other desert boot I've worn over the years hasn't had this failure. Yes, the rubber shifter end is in perfect/new condition. Unfortunately going home that day cost me $120.00. That aside, I found the boot instantly comfortable and their lacing and lacing features are superior. This boot in a flesh-side-out offering would be ideal.
