I had read reviews saying the arrows weren't good but we had other arrows so just needed a bow and the price was great. We've had it a few weeks ( a bunch of play time with it) and the arrows are still going strong! Definitely worth the $10!.. the target we didn't use, my kids actually threw it around like a frisbee
Play Day Light Up Archery Set is a fun and great toy to learn how to target practice. It comes with three arrows that you place in the bow for steady aim. Hook it to the string, pull it back and let it fly. It has a nice little pack to hold the arrows in. The bow has a button you can press to make it flash some lights. The only problem we had was the arrow hitting or bouncing off something hard and ended up snapping in half. We put some tape around it and hoped for the best. My kids really enjoyed this toy and it was something different from their normal toys they play with.
I think the adults had more fun then the kids, it's definitely a learning curve. The trouble I had was the string was to loose and the suction cups for the arrows were a bit flimsy, so you really had to be at a perfect distance and level. Easy for adults, harder for the 5 year old and mostly ok for the 8 year old. 9 times out of ten the target would fall down when it gets hit, I had to tape it in place. It's definitely a fun distraction, but my kids haven't been ambitious to play with it more the a handful of times.
My 3.5 year old started dancing and cheering upon opening this toy saying it was something he always wanted. It's got flashy lights when you press the trigger button. Upon opening it their was one bow that had come disconnected I included a picture. It was easily resolved with a bit of super glue. The plastic isn't the highest quality so it is definitely a toy you don't want to let sit out in the sun for too long! But it seemed durable enough to hold through both my 3 year old and 7 year old and even a bout of them fighting over it. My 3 year old has been carrying it around since we got it and the case is perfect to keep all the arrows together instead of strewn all over the house!
The bow and arrow themselves are awesome. The lights are really cool. The arrows go really far and are pretty easy to put on and shoot. The one problem is the scoreboard is super small and those big arrows would never stick to it. So we just shoot them outside into the yard because the rest is really useless.
