Char-broil Charbroil Tru Ir Gourmet 500

I bought this grill about a month ago and I'm happy with it, so far. It was rated good on Consumer Reports, which is one of the reasons why I bought it. It takes some getting used to the 'infared' cooking style but the meats definitely come out better. I'm hoping to get a few good years out of this grill!

Assembly of the BBQ was relatively easy. The doors did not line up. 4 screws were almost impossible to use, larger ones should be standard. The BBQ is easy to use and cook food. My family does not find BBQ pork as juicy as a regular BBQ. Recently took out the infrared section of the BBQ.

I am still learning about how to properly cook on my grill, but over all am very satisfied with the results I am getting so far. It is very different than a regular gas grill mainly in the fact that there are no flare ups. It seals the juices in with a nice browning effect instead of getting burned and black. I also purchased the rotisserie attachment and it worked perfect, the chicken was evenly brown and juicy.

I've had my new Char-Broil over 6 months and use it almost every week. The last two grills I've owned were a premium brand name and cost much more. I bought this one based on Consumer Reports recommendation and I'm so happy with this one that I can't see myself going back to the premium brands.

My TRU-Infrared grill is the best one I have ever had it heats up fast (exceeding 500 degrees) I love the fact that I don't have flare up problems and it sears my steaks really fast sealing in the juices and the flavor I can coo a T bone in less than 15 minutes - Just love it
