What do tofu and turkey make? Tofurky! Tofurky’s Treehouse Tempeh doesn’t contain turkey - it’s actually a great plant-based protein that tastes delicious! Key Information Organic soy alternative to meat Fits into a variety of recipes Tasty source of protein and fiber Non-GMO Project Verified USDA Certified Organic Frozen/Refrigerated Product Overview Tofurky Treehouse Tempeh is a versatile protein. It’s usually sliced and marinated before cooking - especially if you plan to eat it on its own. But it can also be added to many dishes like stir-fries or pasta. Tempeh actually originated in Indonesia. Just like Tofurky’s Treehouse Tempeh, it’s usually made with fermented soybeans. Through fermentation, the soybeans form a cake or a slab that resembles meat. The taste of Tempeh is similar to mushrooms. Think earthy and somewhat savory. It’s not exactly tofu, as it differs in taste and texture. Tempeh is on the chewier side, whereas tofu is usually soft. When storing your pack of Treehouse Tempeh, it’s best to keep it refrigerated. You can freeze this pack if you prefer. Ingredients Organic Soybeans, Water, Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, Starter Culture (rhizopus Oligosporus). Frequently Asked Questions Is Tofurky Treehouse Tempeh really vegan? Yes, Tofurky Treehouse Tempeh is completely vegan. Because of its texture, it may appear very similar to mince. However, fear not! Treehouse Tempeh is actually a slab of 100% plant-based protein that you can slice into strips or even chop up. This makes it easier to incorporate into a variety of different vegan dishes.

I really like the flavor and meaty texture of this vegan product. The tempeh is best when lightly fried in just a little oil.

Always wanted to try Temp but this was not it. Taste like medicine. Texture is also too chewy.

I really love this Tempe. It's a Wonderful flavor. A great addition to dinner or a sandwich. Much healthier than tofu which is actually a processed food. It's a complete protein also.
