this item requires constant tweaking. This makes it not efficient. I can hand stitch faster than I can using this. While theoretically, it does stitch quickly and could be a great item, it really needs some work as far as it's durability and consistency..

Thought it would save time. Did not would not power up. Went back up starter sewing machine. Wasted my time again tensioner would not work properly. See review for starter machine. If you get one you could have really teeny tiny small fingers. Also, expect Bob and thread to constantly drop. So disappointed with Walmart selling more and more junk.

This sewing machine did not work. There must he a faulty connection with the battery compartment as i tried three sets of brand new batteries (whoch all worked when tested in my kids' toys) all to no avail. I will not be buying a new one and just invest in a different brand

One should not have so many opportunities for such levels of frustration!!! I'm not new to sewing on a machine but I'm also nowhere near what one would consider a tailor. Getting the bottom bobbin thread to "catch" is quite the challenge and the manual is a joke on this. I had to search YouTube to finally find a single video that showed how you might get lucky enough for this to work. When I use a full spool of thread for the top stitch, the tensioner is either too tight or too loose and the thread ends up spooling around the post that the spool rides on. Once you've gotten all of these things to work, you "might" have a chance at sewing something. I can't tell you how many times I've started a stitch and the machine binds up with knots galore making you have to back out what you've done, likely rethread the entire machine, and let out a stream of curse words that would make a military service member blush! When I bought the machine, I had a couple of strips of hook-and-loop to sew on an item for my kid. The actual sewing took maybe 10 minutes; getting the machine to cooperate (see above) took maybe a couple of hours! And just a few minutes ago, I had a seam that needed to be resewn (maybe 5 inches) and I spent over an hour fighting with the machine. I could have sewn the entire thing by hand in about 10 minutes. Unless you've got the patience of Job (from the Bible) and/or money to completely waste on this, just don't. You'll kick yourself over and over again. My only consolation is that it only cost me about $30.
