It dose what it seems ment to do. The resistant dial dose not seem to change much until you turn it all the way. So you get really easy or impossible to move all the same I think it will work out just fine.

I was very excited when I bought this. I assembled it, which was easy, and used it several days a week. I followed the instructions for proper use. Unfortunately, after 6 weeks or so the tension got greater and greater (without my adjusting it) and then the pedals simply wouldn't turn. The machine was completely frozen. I was disappointed, but I exchanged it at my Walmart for a new one. Again, it started well, but again, the thing froze up on me. This time the box had been lost (we moved, and I think it was discarded in the process) and so I cannot return it to Walmart. Now I am stuck with a $100 paperweight. I want to return it and try another brand. The concept is great, but Gold's Gym does not seem to have produced a quality product here.

I have always had issues getting up and going to the gym. Changing clothes and going is the battle, once there I am fine. Usually what happens is I end up never going, but still have to pay due to gym contracts. So, this time I looked into something for my home. I didn't want anything big, because I also had a large piece of equipment go to waste as well in the past. smh. A LOT of money has been wasted. I had the Gold's Gym mini stepper before I had this. I wasted money on that too, because it was kind of hard to do and my joints were in pain after a while. Finally, I decided on this. At the gym, ellipticals were always my go to machines, easier on the joints than steppers and not as boring as the treadmills. So, I bought this and it's GREAT. It is small enough for my small condo living, VERY quiet above the heads of my neighbors, and easy on the joints. YOU are not in pain. I think it is because it slides on a wheel similar to inline skating! The resistance is adjustable. It is easy to find the motivation to use this machine....it is right in my living room, so I watch ALL my favorite shows and workout after work. So, it is the best of BOTH worlds. No fighting for a machine like at a gym, no wiping off other people's nasty germs, risking illness. I plan to move at the end of this year, and I am happy this piece will be easy to load up and go compared to a full sized elliptical. The foot pedals are nice and big. My feet arent huge, but it gives the feel of a full sized elliptical and more than half the price! Im looking forward to losing the 15lbs I gained once I quit the gym!!!! :) You really work up a SWEAT on this thing and you can easily pedal fast or slow. I use the Gold's Waist Trim belt with this and I have seen results already!!! :)) CONS: -It can be a little heavy to move around compared to a ministepper. -the digital timer doesnt light up. Sometimes it is hard to see in the evening. - could use a bar, dumbbells, or resistance bands to work your arms I have decided I am going to buy dumbbells to tone my arms while a use this elliptical

I bought this in February. It was easy to assemble, worked as expected. Just the right size to fit in a small space and quiet. It wasn't until two months ago I really started using in every night. It seized up inside the unit, just as I've seen in several other reviews. However, I called Stamina, the company who imports it for the Golds Gym label. Their information is on the label on the bar in the back of the unit. They said it was still under warranty. I thought I was getting a replacement center section, they shipped me the entire unit! Now that's service! Even though the first stopped working, I would still recommend it. The customer service was great. The new one has been assembled and I will be striding again tonight once my kids are in bed. It's the perfect solution for a busy working mom who can only exercise after the kids are asleep. If you look at the pictures, Stamina also sells the In Motion label. The green sticker unit is the replacement unit they sent and under the green sticker is the Gold's Gym label.

This little machine is terrific for me. I have not been able to use treadmill anymore due to arthritic knees. I bought extra coverage for it because of reviews. The only thing bad about it is it might become an addiction because I can use it sitting down and I can read while using it!
