Gazelle Supreme Glider Home Workout & Fitness Machine with Instructional DVD

I bought this machine a month ago and my husband and I use it daily. It is a lot of fun but the right side makes a grating noise with every step. I cannot see why it is doing this but I hope it can be fixed because the noise is bothersome and takes away from the great workout.

My son bought me a Gazelle years ago when they first came out and I loved it so much I wore it smooth out. The other day I was looking for a piece of exercise equipment that would not be hard on my body now that I am older and I came across the Gazelle! I had totally forgotten about my old one. I bought myself a new one and am good to go again, even at my young 68 years. Now no more gym, just the Gazelle and swimming. I am excited to have an old friend back!!!!

After 6 knee surgeries and falls on my shoulder this is just what I NEEDED! I live in a Northwest coastal area and it rains 9-10 months a year. Inside is the only place to exercise. I use this 5-10 minutes and rest and then do 5-10 more. I can't wait to work up to a full workout.

To assemble, you have to destroy most of the packaging, so forget being able to return it. Directions were poorly written. I picked this because it advertised that it was easy to fold and store. Final piece is unwieldy, heavy, and difficult to fold up, difficult to store upright as well. I spent the extra money for the Supreme model for the "resistance" option - which is hardly an option at all. The "resistance" is in the form of two hydraulic cylinders - either they are connected or not. There's no increase or decrease option. I absolutely regret this purchase.

I picked this item up from local Walmart. It's extremely heavy so I suggest to have it shipped to your home. This item is wrapped with a lot of plastic, so it's hard to see what is where inside. The best thing to do is lay the box down in an open space, Cut the box open and slide product out so it's facing you then cut plastic wrap off. It will be in assembly mode so you don't have to move everything around. Take the boxed parts and put them to the side. Open everything up so you will be ready. It will save you time when building this which is very easy but hard if you don't place everything in front of you properly. OK so it took me a little longer to build this because I did it on my own. It took 25 mins when it should have took 10. The timer I do not use but placed it on the bar as directed for looks. This machine is amazing. It's low impact which makes it easy on the knees to move. You can walk or run, You move your legs side ways to move your inner and outer thighs. You can strength train your arms and chest but keeping your legs straight and just pulling the bars or pushing them. I lost 3 inches in the first 5 days with only a 10 15 min work out for first 6 days. I walked for 10 mins a day and did an arm routine which really helped my arms. As an ex body builder who stopped working out and gained a lot of weight I can tell you this is an ideal work out to help get the body back into shape. It is good for reshaping and tightening. you should follow the work out video or guide if you are new to this. Also eat a balanced diet every day. To avoid the muscle soreness that comes after working out I suggest to eat a low calorie protein snack with in an hour to distribute to the muscles for recovery purposes. The gazelle is a sturdy machine and should last a long time if taken care of. Note: the peddles do fall down so be careful when folding the machine for storage.
