I have been using one of these for at least 5 years now. Every weekend I use it for my 1st floor laminate and tile floor. Also use on carpeted stairs. Very strong suction. Plan to purchase another when it stops working. The warm air coming out the bottom will heat your butt a bit. I assume the other backpack vacs would do the same.
Really Powerful! I even vacuumed two flies out of the air with this thing! For big jobs this is perfect. It's 10 qts so it's a little heavy. If your are doing all day jobs that needs a lot of capacity, it is perfect. the cord is only about 10 inches so you need an extension cord. It didn't come with an attachment that had a brush so I had to order that separate. Over-all, a hard-core, great piece of equipment.
I have used other backpack vacs that the cleaning service uses, but after research I went with the GV10. I am totally happy with this vac and pleased with the high suction. The price is excellent for the quality and performance. I am a cleaning nut and this GV10 does it all. Totally recommend it.
The positive- has lots of power, the price is good, overall a good purchase, not great. The negative- I has a Clark before, and the overall quality on the Clarke was much better. I still use the Clarke hose, which is much better than the GV, so overall quality is not so good.
We purchased this vacuum for our janitorial staff to be able to move around our 20,000 sq ft church and it works perfect. Cleaning in and around pews with any other machine just didn't work but putting this on their back and going up and down pews and corners is the best.
