Fennel is clearly a taste that you either love, or you don't. I love it, and I'm the only one in my house… But I really, really love it! This toothpaste delivers the taste that I love, and the "zingy" mouth feel that I want after I brush my teeth. Other fennel toothpastes, even other fennel Tom's toothpastes, seem to come up short. Please don't ever take away my zingy fennel!
I've been using Tom's Fennel toothpaste since 1979 when I discovered it in my local drugstore. Tom's toothpaste cleans my teeth better than the mainstream toothpastes, and I prefer the gentle fennel flavour to the intense artificial mint etc in other brands. I honestly believe Tom's has benefitted my dental health, as every dentist I've gone to comments on the naturally good colour and condition of my tooth enamel. I drink a lot of black tea, and other toothpastes do not remove the discolouration as well as Tom's. My only complaint is with the new extensive range of Tom's toothpastes, it's getting hard to find fennel! Please keep making it and getting it out to your local customers!
I have sensitive teeth and it work very well. I like the taste. It lasted a long time before I noticed the mint taste went away. My granddaughter also has sensitive teeth and I gave her some. She had her mom buy her some. I think it is some what costly. It was higher priced more then what I used before
We use this tooth paste twice daily with an electric tooth brush for 2 minutes each time. At first taste it was "that is different" we were not quite sure about it. The first thing we thought was it kind of tasted like licorice. The flavor grew on us quickly and it is all we have used for the last couple of years. So many toothpastes have a strong minty taste. We find that the minty ones burn our cheeks, gums and under our tongues. This tooth paste does not burn at all but yet we feel it freshens our breath.
This toothpaste is definitely unique. While it felt great brushing, and my mouth felt clean and refreshed after, I was not a fan of the fennel taste. It has a slight black licorice taste, which is not something I enjoy. It wasn't overpowering, so if fennel does not bother you, I'd definitely recommend.
