It took me a little research to find a quality backpack that fit my 17" laptop. This backpack has a pocket my laptop fits in. It also has several more pockets that help me organize my stuff
I bought this backpack for my college freshman grandson, and he was thrilled with it. He unzipped the entire backpack, looking at all the places he would be able to store his materials while heading to class. It was well worth the money.
I have written 2x attempting to return, RMA system has been down for a month. Please let me return this!
I have had this backpack for about a month. I have used it several times while I travel. It is bigger and has more room than I thought. I am very pleased with this backpack and recommend it.
I bought this backpack about a month ago, and have taken it on an international trip. I was looking for something that would be more comfortable on my narrow shoulders than my prior backpack. That backpack was painful, to the point of causing bruises on my inner arms. It had obviously been designed for broader (male) shoulders. Happily, the Swissgear 1900 was comfortable, and seems designed for a variety of shoulder widths. The straps are just flexible enough to avoid discomfort while being sturdy. The weight is so nicely distributed, it was much easier to lug around during long walks across airports and around town. It also sat straight when I put in on the floor, unlike other bags I've had that fell forward. It's also convenient for airport security. In the US, I did not have to take out my laptop. On my return trip, the foreign city did make me remove my laptop and ebook reader. The laptop and tablet/ ebook compartments were easy to deal with in the security line. The TSA friendly feature will be nice if I wind up in an airport where that's necessary. My one complaint about the laptop holder is that there is *no* padding on the bottom. Why? The organization capabilities are nearly perfect. I found places for all my accessories. Some of them wound up crammed together in the small front pocket on bottom. I have owned a backpack that had a taller front pocket with more pouches that was a bit better in this area.
