North States - Plastic Supergate V Extra-Wide Child and Pet Gate

Bought this extra wide gate for the opening between our kitchen & livingroom. While it can be slightly cumbersome detaching the gate from the wall, the gate itself is perfect! Our dog stays where she's supposed to and our twin 2 yr old boys stay out of where they arent supposed to be. Great value for great price!

This gate wasn't as attractive as I would have liked, but I was buying it for practical purposes. And it wouldn't slide easily. Considering it required screwing 10 or 12 (can't remember which) holes into my woodwork to install it, there was no way I was going to do that if it didn't slide easily, too. So I ended up returning it and getting one of the accordion style ones which works much better and only requires screwing four holes in my woodwork.

This gate works great for my 61 inch opening and was super easy to install. I am completely satisfied with the quality and convenience of this gate. The opening mechanism is easy to use and is my only concern when my son gets older but works perfect for my 15month old.

I needed something longer than the traditional wooden gate, so I purchased the metal one that is easy to open and close but over time the metal came apart b/c the kids kept shaking it, trying to get in my kitchen. I love this one b/c it is screwed into the wall and it is very easy to open and close, now my grandkids come in the kitchen when I choose to let them in!

THIS GATE IS JUST WHAT I NEEDED AND AT A GREAT PRICE! I LOOKED AROUND FOR A WHILE AND I COULD NEVER FIND ANYTHING LESS THAN $80 + DOLLARS. BEING ON A TIGHT BUDGET I DID'NT WANT TO SPEND THAT MUCH. AFTER MY HUSBAND INSTALLED THE GATE WE HAD A LITTLE DIFFICULTY FIGURING HOW TO LOCK AND UNLOCK IT, HUBBY THEN STARTED JOKING ON ME ABOUT BUYING CHEAP AND GETTING WHAT I PAID FOR. WELL HE WAS WRONG ! WE PLAYED WITH IT A LITTLE AND FIGURED IT OUT AND IT'S IS THE BEST! I LOVE THAT IT SWINGS OPEN OR IF I WANT TO SLIDE IT OPEN I CAN DO THAT TOO! LOVE IT!
