Is your DACS software constantly freezing, crashing, or the like? Mine was, I searched for ages to find an answer, and finally did. DO THIS TO MAKE YOUR Digital Arts & Crafts Studio work! Now my kids LOVE it! Close all programs, including the DACS mini tray icon then: Rename: c:\windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322 to ZZv1.1.4322 Then rename: c:\windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.0.3705 to ZZv1.0.3705 Then REBOOT your computer and try the studio again. Works great for me now.. Not a single crash since I did this, and it has been running (left on) on the computer for over 24 hours!

We got the DACS for our daughter this Christmas. I think the idea of the product is wonderful. I am upset with how often the product freezes up, we can not even complete one coloring page before having to press Ctrl, Alt, delete. We have tried the DACS on our desktop and our laptop (both have Vista and are less than 2 years old). I am not sure where the problem is but so far the updates have not fixed it. If we could fix the freezing up that occurs every 4 -5 mins, I think this would be a wonderful product!!

Saw the negative stuff, and being a network engineer can relate always to computers issues. Daughter has her own pc and it is limited to just games and educational programs. Have had no issues with this product and find myself using it alot. The daughter likes it and enjoy all the features. Do wish for more titles to hit the market, and an Mac version would be nice for no-pc users. Great going!!!!

I purchased this product for my 4 year old for Christmas and it hasn't worked properly since I took it out of the box. She hasn't even got to use it, because you have to go to some website to update the driver and download it and I can't get the driver I need from anywhere. I don't know about anyone else but its supposed to be a kid item and I can't figure it out so how is she supposed to.? Would not recommend.

This is a great product if you have a creative kid. My son got it for Christmas last year when he was almost 5. He loves it and plays with it for hours. We have not had any problems with it after almost a year of frequent use. It does require some supervision if you don't want your child to go through all your paper and ink since they seem to really enjoy printing everything out - and not just one copy but a copy for both sets of grandparents and everyone else they can think of! It is fun for him to design his own birthday, mother's day, etc cards for everyone.
