I have owned this for over a week now and I am beginning to think that many of the complaints and negative comments are poorly based. This tiny tablet cost me less than $100; and for that, I am thankful. The Velocity Tablet performs at the top of its catagory and price. I agree with another reviewer, if I wanted to pay several hundred dollars, I would have done so and bought me an iPod or another big name product!

Purchased this unit for Xmas for the family to read book, search the net and organize a few tasks. Must admit, the T301 is an awesome tablet for the price. Perfect for the beginner and also great when loaded with a custom Rom. There are a few websites available which allow you to mod the ROM and add a few required items such as google market, maps and a few other tricks. Definitely worth the price and a nice entry level tab that doesn't blow out your budget. Based on the reviews, I dove in and expect not much for under a hundred bucks, but ended up with more then I expect after a few mods...

I got this as a birthday present and from day one it has performed satisfactorily. Now, I read some of the poor reviews about this tablet, and I must say, those people either don't know how to operate a tablet, or thought they were buying an iPad or something similar. At either case, all I would say to those people is to read the manual and accept the fact that this costs less than $100 to which it will perform at that level and that is just fine with me!

Most of the people giving this tablet bad reviews have no idea what they're talking about. First off you need to update it to 2.2, which makes it loads better. Also, you have to understand that your paying $100, so you're not getting a top of the line device. With dolphin browser and Android 2.2 installed, surfing the web is quite fast. The hardware (besides the hard drive, which it lacks, opting for 2g flash and up to 4gig SD card) is comparable to the first generation iPad, which for $100, is very impressive. It even has a dual-core processor, about 560ghz I think. You can't run angry birds or Netflix, and there's no Android market, but you shouldn't expect any of these things at this price point. The amazon market runs perfectly on the device and you will be able to run a good number of the apps. The screen is a little less responsive than I'd like, but it does the job. This is the only tablet anywhere near this price that I've seen with a capacitive touch screen, which is huge! The picture is bright and clear, though small text can be a bit fuzzy. Battery life is good, I'd say you'll average about 10hrs of use before charging. The sound is a bit quite, so I'd suggest headphones, but it's loud enough to hear clearly in a fairly quiet room. It runs the youtube app quite well, very smooth. As far as being an eReader, it does the job nicely with the pre-loaded kindle app. It comes with a nice neoprene case, a custom stand, and a DC power cord. I'm extremely happy with my purchase, and if you can live without Netflix, flash, and Angry Birds, then I'd highly recommend it.

I bought 2 of them and while some applications will not install (many applications tell you up front they will only run on top end machines) it's okay because I didn't pay 300 bucks for it! If you go to the cruz market and get "getjar" you can get many free applications as getjar is andriod market for cruz. Books are easy to download and I've added several other e-reader apps, e-reading is the main reason we wanted tablets. We didn't want to be stuck with 1 brand of books, it just seems strange to us to get all your information from 1 source. I have downloaded and installed & used several fitness apps as well. The machine can run a bit buggy at times, but overall it's pretty smooth. I didn't anticipate how often I would need to clean it (finger swipes) but this would be an issue for me with any tablet. Bottom line:Be patient, upgrade from andriod 2.0 to 2.2, just because 1 app won't install doesn't mean others won't, enjoy the machine! Don't believe the reviewers who said youtube won't load, it will if you go to the right market...in other words it has to be the right version for the machine!
