Braun Series 7 760CC - Shaver - cordless

I have two older Braun shavers, a 5610 and 7505, and got the 790cc-4 for Christmas this year. I'd researched the product and found that it got consistently high reviews, so I expected an improvement over my 7505. Sadly, this model isn't much better in terms of shave quality. The first shave was phenomenal- comfortable and close, with no irritation at all. Unfortunately, it was downhill from there. The shave was still comfortable, but it didn't last any longer than the shave I get from the ten-year-old 7505. This was a big disappointment considering the prices these shavers sell for. The cleaning base, while convenient, is way too loud, especially in the early morning hours. Just like the older models, this shaver had trouble getting the last few hairs on my neck, and the sideburn trimmer is actually a step backward. It's hard to see and awkward to use, so awkward that I only used it once. After two weeks of use, which I feel is more than enough to "adjust", I returned it for a refund. In my opinion, for all the hype this shaver gets and for the prices it sells for, this model is a huge disappointment from Braun. I certainly expected more, but it appears that beyond the cool looks, not much progress has been made in ten years. I can't recommend this one.

Bought just few days ago (too early to post the rating) and it works very good - easy and soft- and cut well. Skin is a bit hot when shaving. I used Panasonic for more than 20 years- it has great battery life as it still works but foil is too expensive. Instead I bought Panasonic model (cheaper model) again but it is not great as anticipated. I bought Braun 7 series last week- wonderful.

I bought a series 7 back before moving to Japan for three years...when I got there, they were selling the current "upgraded" one that they're selling right now as the better model. I was pretty angry that I had paid so much in the US and gotten the 'old' model but oh well... As for the shaver itself, yeah it's not that great. I still have to shave after shaving most times. Or shave before shaving. Kinda defeats the purpose of even buying an electric shaver in the first place. I'm a daily shaver too, so yeah. I buy razors still and shaving cleaner to keep my S7 clean. Would I recommend this shaver? No. Not at all. I should have tried different ones somehow. The new heads for these, the silver ones supposedly (I dunno yet, I still have a blue banded one, read learn about what I am talking about) apparently are the worst. They don't cut well...well surprise either do the blue ones hahaha...they are good for a days growth. Any more then you have to razor shave first. Any less and the shaver won't do much other than buzz on your face. If you want a truly close shave just stick with razors.

I start by saying this is my third electric shaver,my last was another manufacturer and was 27 years ago and it put me off electric shavers being just no good for the job and have been a wet razor shave ever since,as years have past and now 47 and bald on top (it happens) i was reading the reviews and thought could this really be true,is this electric shaver as good as they say,well seeing and this case feeling i am so grateful to the reviewer's and mostly to Braun and there team for this amazing shaver,i can honestly say that now i've bought and used it,not only on shaving my face but my head (well mainly the back and sides of my head) guys this is the shaver you have been looking for,it glides over your face and neck and in my case head too and truly does a perfect job fast and clean,it truly is that good and cleans itself in the base unit to keep it like new,all i can say is the Braun 790cc-4 is amazing.

I have had a Braun Electric Shaver for ever including the last Series 7 shaver. Have just now bought the newest model series 7-790 and haven't been happier. It gives me a closer shave than any other Braun shaver that I have owned - comparable to a safety razor shave. I can shave every other day sometimes and my good lady doesn't even notice as she did with the older shaver. 10 out of a 10 in my estimation.
