I was really exited about getting this bike, ordered online, took and extra week to come in to the store for pick up than it should of, but no big deal. Brought it home and tried to ride it and immediately the brakes weren't working very well, it was squeaking real loud and would even slow down the bike if I turned it a certain way. I thought maybe it just need some "braking in" but when I tried ride back up my drive way the brake cable in the back popped out place and the tip broke. Now the wire was all frayed and it was nearly impossible to put back together, and after hours watching YouTube videos on how to fix it myself, it wouldn't even work. Then right before we about to put it back into the car to return it, the front brakes had stopped working! But the Walmart customer service was excellent. They had it assembled for free at the store as soon as it came in, and gave us a full refund with tax and all when we returned it. So kudos to them. I was just frustrated I wasted so much time. Now what mountain bike should I buy for under $200?

Bike looks solid, yet it's not as solid as I though. I'm a casual ride. No jumps, but maybe riding off curves. Brakes already needed to be adjusted twice and I've had the bike for 3 days. Seat is so uncomfortable. It's bad. Like you will be sore after a 5 mile ride for about 2 days and keep in mind I'm in good shape. My main issue with this bike is the gears. They don't seem to line up correctly and when I shift to go up a hill the peddle cranks seem to skip when I get off my seat to peddle. It's really annoying because I feel like I'm going to do a front flip over the handle bars. Does it so often that I'm scared to stand up and peddle. I never leave bad reviews but I guess I got my money worth with this one since it was so cheap. Save your money.

Okay, First of all, this is a M-o-u-n-t-a-i-n Bike, not a bike that you go jumping off curbs with. So if your gonna do that, this is not the bike you want. If, though, you want a bike that rides nice, looks good & bad as heck, then this bike is for you. Yes, there are minor adjustments that everyone will need to suit their comfort, but over all, this bike is great for the trail, great for cruising, great for just about everything. Though, I did buy mine from the store so mine required no assembly, so that's probably something to keep in mind when purchasing.

This bikes designed well, but there are things you must know before you buy it. The front fork is not that good but will hold up on small-scale jumps and bumps, but is very unsafe for the large-scale jumps. The brake system itself is good enough but you must replace the brake shoes because they will ware out in 10 miles or less. You must also replace the derailer in the back because it is plastic and brakes easy when peddling fast. I'm investing my money into it because I love the frame and tires.

The assembly of the bicycle took longer than expected. The directions were vague and not very helpful. After finally putting it all together I rode the bicycle down the street. All went well until I switched gears. The Shimano equipment completely warped and snapped off. The bicycle is useless now that the chain doesn't have any support. I will be returning this item in the morning. Such a disappointment.
