Lands' End Men's Lightweight Squall Jacket

I needed a lightweight, well-fitting black jacket. This is almost perfect. Things I would change: ditch the logo on the front, it's tacky; remove the inner label, it catches on shirts and pulls the mesh lining, go printed like everyone else; improve the waistband, it's insipidly weak.

I got two of these lightweight jackets in two colors. Red and algerian blue. The red had the uk zipper style and was superior in size. Longer arms, longer torso and greater room to layer over a flannel or sweater. I kept it and sent the smaller cut, more compact, algerian blue with us style zipper back, both were size large. Both were nice looking lightweight weather jackets.

I really like this jacket!! I read all the reviews and was confused by the apparent concern over the “opposite placement" of the zipper - the zipper works perfectly and is very easy to use. The only problem that I encountered is the advice in the description was to order the same size that you used for a recent shirt purchase - wrong - I consistently wear a Medium shirt (even from Lands' End), but the Medium jacket that I first ordered was too tight. Lands' End was great in exchanging it for a Large that fits perfectly! I've been wearing it on walks that have gone from in the 50ºs and it is still very comfortable in today's walk when it is 17º out. The nylon fabric is a little noisy when it rubs while walking (as nylon does), but I'll get used to it. The inside lining is nice and the pockets are even lined with it which keeps your bare hands warmer in the colder weather. Overall, this is an excellent jacket that it very suitable for a wide range of temperatures.

This will be a hand-me-down to my wife. Ordered two in large. This one barely fits. The other does. Too tight in arms and chest. Also, the other one came with the zipper in ladies mode with zipper reversed. I'm done with Lands End. Too many issues with orders. This is not the first time. No free returns for defective merchandise.

Husband loves it. Perfect for Texas and the cooler days that aren't exactly cold. Plus the multi color styling (got him the blue) is very good looking. Fit is good as he is a skinny medium & can wear with sweatshirt under if he wants. Wish there was an identical style for women!
