I have had this product only 24 hours and I already dislike it. The bike will not work when you first get it. As others have mentioned, the instructions direct you to either install their app or go to their website to activate the machine. This requires that you create and account and give them a credit card. If you call the Customer Care number, it tells you that you must activate your product before you may speak to an agent. After spending literally hours yesterday either on hold or trying to figure out how to make it work without giving my personal info, I gave up and told my wife sorry, but I'm going to have to disassemble your birthday present and return it. I got up this morning and took one last look and stumbled across a YT video in which a man tells how to activate it yourself without going through iFit. It worked. I am very grateful to Hands 4 U Assembly. Now, to the machine itself. The display is pretty low-tech. It is very similar to the early liquid crystal display watches, with black characters on a gray background with no backlighting. Very hard to read. As others have mentioned, it's true that if you adjust the seat forward, like for people with shorter legs, the screen is right at your face/chest. Maybe that's so you can read it with such poor visuals. All in all, I wish I had done more research, because I think it's likely there are better, less frustrating options out there; hopefully this review will help others to keep looking. The only reason I'm keeping this thing is because I don't want to try to disassemble and fit it back in the box, and delay giving my wife her birthday gift.
I recently purchased the ProForm 235 CSX bike after inspection of bike and parts everything looked good. I put the bike together with no problems. After registering it on line and the bike was up and running I tried riding it and after about 3-5 minutes it starts making a clunking noise. I then called customer service and was on hold for 35 minutes with no one picking up the line. The next day I got an automated line asking and verifying purchase they send you an Email on trying to troubleshoot problem with yourself. You have to take the top back off to troubleshoot. I then realize it only makes loud clunking that you can hear and feel with the bike plugged in and riding, but normal unplugged. Next step was to video when it is clunking. I'm still trying to decide whether I want to repackage it and send it back or try to get a human on the phone.
After assembling we discovered that it was defective. After several calls to the support team which they were very nice we are waiting for some major parts to be delivered. Replacing these requires a major tear down to be done by me. If this fails they will send someone out. Waiting for parts to arrive
