We purchased this unit, and it is good that if your hand are dirty you don't have to touch the dispenser. And it works well in that respect. However, the refills are very expensive (you can refill existing cartridges just not too easy). The biggest problem is the amount of soap it dispenses. It seems to dispense about double what you really need. So you will go through a lot of over priced soap. there is a hack to reduce the amount that comes out, however, with that method sometimes it comes out sometimes it doesn't.

I bought it because my old one broke. This one broke less than two months after we started using it.

I purchased 4 hand soap systems for my home's bathrooms a month ago. Last week, one of them showed low battery (seemingly very short battery, i.e., it's not practical to have a device that would go through 48 batteries per year). I went ahead and changed the batteries, and I noted the soap was low. I refilled it's soap and briefly checked the others. Yesterday, one of the dispensers that was nearly full (it was in a low-use bathroom) was completely empty and the batteries were low. I replaced the batteries and soap refill and today, the batteries are dead again and the soap is mostly gone. None of the batteries had showed any signs of decomposition, and I only use Duracell Procells so they are the best quality. If the batteries are fresh, I never notice the pump running without a hand there. There are no sources of infrared interference in the house. The humidity is on the low side right now. I am now thinking that these soap systems are defective.
