Sony PlayStation 3 - Game console - 80 GB HDD - black

this machine is a computer to-- its awesome. at this point it hasnt taken the place of my desktop, but it a close runner up. if i had 2 modems or a wireless router it would probably take over or both me and my hubby would be surfing-- one of us via the ps3. plays most dvds-- not HD-- just so you know-- some people think Hd and Blu- ray are the same-- they are not. will play burned cds and movies, reads media cards, flash drives, etc.. very good investment. a must have!!!

It was well worth the wait to get the new system. If you can definetly get the 80 gig system, it may cost more but well worth it :)

I was hesitant to buy this because of the price. I am soory I did't buy it sooner. If you figure in that you can use it as a blue-ray player, computer, and a game system, you have saved atleast 600-700 dollars. Not to mention the free game demos you can download and the 60 dollar game it comes with. Well worth the money. Great graphics, and a great time. I think everyone should have one. I have only had it a few days and I am already super impresses.

My wife gave me this for Christmas as well as the Xbox 360 gamer package with the HD DVD Player. I am very satisfied with both of them. The PS3 has graphics that are a tad bit better. Blu Ray movies look almost to be 3D without coming off of the screen. The siaxxis controller adds a new experience to each game. I highly recommend this system. This system has built-in WiFi, so a wireless adaptor is not needed. I got right onto my wireless network with ease. I would recommend the keyboard for all input as it took about 20 minutes to figure it out using the controller and the screen. Overall, a 5 star experience!!!!!

We researched the 3 big consoles out there and from everything we read and the list of games available we narrowed it down to a Wii or a PSIII and since the graphics on the Wii are weak and the unavailability of the Wii we decided to go with the playstation 3 with one of the biggest determining factors being the Blu Ray player capabilities of the Playstation 3 made it a better buy than the other 2 consoles, Let me tell you playing games on the Playstation 3 or watching a hiDef movie on Blu ray has made our Playstation 3 a welcome new addition to our entertainment set up forget the XBox forget the Wii get a Playstation 3 you wont regret it and Did I mention it was very easy to get it hooked up to our Verizon FiOS Internet via WiFi? it was and it rocks!
