Baby Calming Massage Balm, Lavender & Chamomile

This Zarabee's Naturals calming baby rub came and the first thing I noticed was that the package smelled very strongly of the essential oils. This really seemed to fade quickly and it was a nice calming mix of smells without being overwhelming or strong once opened so not sure if it was something that it was stocked next to? It is a small package but you really don't need much! I can't say that I feel it would really make baby calmer at bedtime. I think a little rubbing helps to relax anyone. I think the only benefit is it's nice to have it be part of the bedtime routine so it is clear it is bedtime and not nap time. It does say you can use at nap time but I think the help differentiate the two I would stick to just one or the other. Just my preference, though. I do not think I would buy again and would honestly not recommend the product itself, but would recommend a small rub/massage at bedtime to help relax and calm baby with whichever baby lotion you prefer (or no lotion at all). For reference I am a mother of three kids aged five and under.

I liked the smell of this balm. The scent is not too strong and just enough for baby. I didn't like how thick it is when you first apply it. Its very thick and i just didn't like the feel of it. I disliked how I had to really rub it into my baby's skin to be able to blend. Not as easy to apply on skin like other lotions. You really have to rub the skin to apply. Then the skin is left feeling tacky until it dries on baby. Obviously because its a balm that might be the reason. I personally wouldn't purchase for that reason alone. I applied before bedtime and my baby slept through the night. It's not horrible , but again I don't like these types of creams.

Zarbee's Naturals Baby Calming Massage Balm with Lavender and Chamomile Scent smells so yummy. Its not greasy and gooey. It is very creamy, but I found a way to make it even more creamer which makes it even easier to rub on your baby. I run the jar under hot water and let the Zarbee's Naturals Baby Calming Massage Balm melt a good bit. Then just make sure its room temperature and its so easy to apply. Baby Princess sleeps much more restfully than before and a little longer.

This balm smells nice. It rubs on smooth. I don't like that the container Or box does not have an age recommendation on it. I have a 5 month old And couldn't find any information anywhere or online on age recommendations or how little of babies you can use it on. I used it on My 5 month old before bed and he was up ever hour crying and it was So not like him. He usually sleeps every 3 hours at night. I'm not sure If it was the balm, but I haven't used it on him since. I also used this on My 3 year old. It did nothing for her. She still woke up in the middle of The night crying. I don't know if this product really helps calm before bed.

I really like the scent of this balm, the scent was my favorite part of the balm. The cream is a bit thicker than lotion but does rub on relatively easily. Didn't feel greasy to me but I did wash my own hands after using the product on my daughter. I'm not sure if it really works as a calming agent or not but overall my daughter liked the scent and enjoyed having this rubbed on her and I enjoyed the smell as well. I would recommend this.
