I didn't think I would like this phone after having a galaxy note 1 for over 2 1/2 years but I love love love this phone!!! The battery holds a long charge. Also I just got tired buying expensive phones when this fusion 3 does everything I need it to do!!! I'm absolutely very pleased with this phone!!!
Didn't get this phone on the Black Friday deal like a lot of other reviewers but did pick it up on the reduced price $68 or so. This is not a typical low end phone. Fast processor, LTE speed, UI is decent, expandable memory-up to 32gig, 5mb rear / 2mb front cameras, decent feel, good sound, and last but not least the call quality is good (noticeably so). The few lows are the visual resolution isn't as crisp as the LG i had before but definitely not bad. The onboard memory is not great. The usable space once you put a few apps on is around .5gig or so. Something to keep in mind. You can only move certain apps to the SD card so beware. Other than that you can't go wrong with this phone if you need a replacement like i did and wasn't willing to pay up front or go for ATT's "wonderful" NEXT plan. (FYI...all you're saving on the NEXT plan is the financing) Look for the Huawei Tribute model designation for accessory stuff.
If you want a phone that everyone goes OOOOH and AHHHH when you take it out, this ain't it. If you want a solidly built, functional smart phone this is it. Often overlooked in these days of text, email and tweeter is talk quality. This is a phone in the true sense of the word. If you ever find yourself in a real phone conversation you will definitely appreciate this phone. It can do all the other smart things too. If you want to impress your friends something else might work better for you. If you want a lot of functionality for a low price this is it. The only negative about this phone is the annoying AT&T Address Book that insists on opening every time you open your Contacts. I found that I can open the dialer and select the Contacts tab and it doesn't open and eat up my precious data allotment.
The AT&T Fusion 3 met most of my needs. For casual use, it works fast and it's very easy to navigate around. The pro's are the ease of use, speakers, great battery life, a micro sd card slot, and that's mainly it. The cons include a very bland (uninspired) design, bad camera, bad plastic display, low usability in the sun, and worse of all: only 1.5GB of storage space after the bloatware that is pre-installed. If you are going to be using this phone to download music, movies, pictures, etc then be prepared to be disapointed. If, however, you are just using this phone to talk and text, then this will do a great job. Call reception is great, especially with added 4G LTE. Wifi is fast to connect to as well. The speakers are surprisingly loud for a low-end phone such as this one. My music sounded very loud and clear. The camera is decent; nothing special. After all the AT&T apps that come loaded, it can make the operating system feel somewhat sluggish sometimes. Depending on what you use this phone for, it is definately one of the top low-end devices on the market right now.
I have used a flipphone for years and it seems the times have forced me into buying a smartphone. The problem is the amount of money spent each month. Yes you can go to any mobile store and buy a phone that costs around $600.00 and more or less be forced into a form of contract where you pay for the phone on an installment plan, THEN there is the cost of the rate plan you choose. Well after much studying I decided on the fusion3 because I could take it to the local AT&T store, and they activated it....everything with no cost to us. We were pleased with the phone and I bought another one thru Wal-Mart ship to site, since they are so new they are not that widely available yet. Took my wife's new phone in received the same service added her to my plan and the total cost per month is approximated $75.00. Works off Wi-Fi which I have in the house and it is everywhere and you can turn off the 4g feature so you do not eat up your data..All in all I think we made a wise decision. They may call this phone a basic, but I do not know why, it does everything the $600.00 phone does and it is paid for.
