Shea Moisture Raw Shea Butter Deep Treatment Masque 12 oz (Pack of 4)

I used this product on its own, which left my hair very dry and tangled. However, I mixed the product with virgin coconut oil in a ratio of 1:2, left it overnight and washed it out with normal conditioner - my hair is the softest it has ever been in my entire life

I feel sorry that I put this thing on my hair and most of all, spent that much money on it. I love the Shea Moisture Curl collection and I was hoping that this one would help me with my dry hair and enhance my curls which was not the case. My hair was never worse, I had very hard time detangling it and the product smells disgusting.

I have bleached my natural 4c hair and it left my hair damaged and my curls life less. I was looking for products that give moisture with zero coconut in it because it dries out bleached hair more. Ever since I picked up the deep treatment masque and restoration conditioner my hair is healthier and my curls are back.

I've been using this product for a few years, then all of a sudden my scalp started reacting to it really aggressively. I don't know if the formula was changed, but I kept using it , thinking the itchiness was caused by something else. Once I stopped using this mask my scalp stopped itching, but I noticed I now have a BALD SPOT. If you've been experiencing an itchy scalp STOP USING THIS PRODUCT. I have 3C low porosity hair. The only Shea Moisture product that doesn't make my scalp itch is the African Black Soap line.

This was the only conditioner from Shea Moisture that I was buying because there's behentrimonium chloride in all of them (which can be toxic and damaging to the eyes). Sadly, I just noticed that now it has been added to this formula too so I will no longer purchase... wish you would at least keep a few of your products free from that chemical.
