AngelCare Deluxe Movement & Sound Monitor (2 units) Multi-Colored

We purchased this item in 2011 so our parental units were not digital, but otherwise it looked the same. We left it on for 2 years without a break. One unit stopped transmitting sound around 15 months. The other just died after 24 months. I only used the sensor pad for the first couple of months. Once baby could roll, it's no longer helpful. But it did give me peace of mind. Overall, Im pleased with the performance, although I think with today's technology, extremely long lasting monitors must be possible. This purchase it as expensive as my deluxe stroller that's made it through multiple kids and more manhandling.

I Just really love this monitor. You can hear absolutely everything without any noises or interference.

I bought this unit to monitor my elderly mother. I moved my mom into our home from a nursing home after she was put on hospice. Her bedroom is in our beautiful basement and our bedroom is on the 2nd floor directly above hers (this means there is a floor between us). The monitor works perfectly. I am able to hear her soft breathing all night long, which is a comfort to me. If I forget to turn the monitor off when I take her out of bed the movement sensor sets off the alarm. I know that it is working properly. She sleeps in an adjustable hospital bed. We attached a 1/4" thick piece of plywood to the springs under the mattress with zip ties and placed the monitor between the plywood and mattress. Works like a charm and has given me peace of mind.

I bought this as a shower gift. My co-worker was thrilled. I own one myself and LOVE it! I can't imagine not having it. I have an older version and still use it for my 18 month old. Wish I had this with my 10 year old. Life would have been much less stressful since he had reflux! Would never hesitate to purchase this over a video monitor. If I am sleeping I can't watch the video anyway.
