Upgrade your workouts with help from the Reactor Aerobar Trainer. Resistance training is a very important component of a healthy lifestyle. It can increase muscle mass, protect bone density and accelerate the metabolism. This item is an ideal choice for general fitness, sport-specific training, rehab, strength and aerobic conditioning. It's a simple way to add a whole new series of calorie-burning and strengthening exercises to your routine. Rather than lifting static weight, this weighted workout bar challenges you to build strength by resisting the force of a moving weight. The effect provides up to 250 muscle contractions per minute, engaging stabilizer fibers and parts of the muscle that might get neglected with traditional dumbbell or barbell workouts. It activates as soon as you start moving. The slim profile makes it easy to store in a closet or under a couch or bed.

This Reactor workout bar features heavy-duty composite material with a comfort grip handle and padded rubber safety tips. I have to give these low ratings, because I never received the item. The only thing I can properly rate is the price. There is one company that sells the item $12 cheaper (including shipping %26 handling and tax); yet, I ordered it via WalMart, because the shipping was promised to be faster.

I have the other brand "pro" 60 inch but am now recovering from shoulder surgery. I needed a lighter version. Considered the cardio style of the other brand but two, which you need, were priced above my budget. Bought two of these. End pieces are tightly adherent, did not fly off and kill parakeet ( that's a budgie for our English friends). The bar itself appears to be the same composite as high priced brand. Handle is hefty rubber surrounding softer easy to grip foam. They work. They are lighter than higher priced, IE: more flexible. Perfect for rehab. 15 seconds in any plane and you know your muscles still exist but have months to go. After anticipated 7-9 months further rehab will edit as needed

This is a perfect trainer with a unbelievable price. Remember that such trainers are to train the joint for dynamic control and not muscle building. Therefore, I do not understand why some are complaining that it is not heavy enough. It is quite heavy if you know how to use it properly and has a fabulous swing to give your joints dynamic control and flexibility to stay young.

This trainer bar wasn't quite as tough to use as the one in my son's physical therapy place. But for the cost of this one, it does the job. I'm sure there our better Aerobars to use that make the muscles work harder. But can't beat the value of this one to do the job.

I learned about this equipment during physical therapy for recovery from rotator cuff surgery. I decided to buy my own because of the intense workout I could feel in my shoulders. This reactor trainer certainly fits the bill. The effect, when properly used, is just as beneficial as being at physical therapy.
