This facial cover provides a better feel and it is easier to clean compared to to the default fabric one that comes with the headset.

I think that this is a missed customer-first approach into product design. In my mind, this should be: your preference of cloth or silicone. If they believe Silicone is the best solution, just include that. If there is some real advantage to the one they are offering stock in the headset, then go for it. But putting a sub-par quality cloth that scratches your face to force everyone into buying an "upgrade" is just very poor product design. This almost feels like including square wheels on a car and "suggest" that you upgrade to cylindrical wheels for an obscene price. Just make this the default and be done with it. That said, it's still not free of issues, as it repels sweat, which means that now drops accumulate around it and on top of the surface. It's easier to clean, but you will be dripping into your mouth and ears with this approach.

Would be good if it were a little more spongier, like the one it comes with (just with a silicone cover). That's my impression of it, because I tried one of the silicones you can put over the OEM, and I liked that. I got this one, though, because I think that one covered up the sensors.

Yeah there's a noise this makes whenever it's on your face which doesn't happen with other facial interfaces. Returned.
