It works perfectly. I've used fine yarn up to chunky and it works great. It makes decent size yarn cakes but will not make huge ones. Be sure to pull the metal arm out until it snaps in place or it won't work properly
this is by far the best product I have purchased. the price was reasonable, it is very easy to use, it saves a lot of time, and it is just the right size for storing when not in use.
This yarn winder is perfect for winding small or partial skeins of yarns. It works smoothly and doesnt tangle yarn if you keep your tension up. The cakes turn out looking pretty and are easy to use with the center pull thread. I would recommend Lacis to any one needing to keep their bits and pieces of yarn manageable.
I have enjoyed using my Lacis yarn ball winder. Simple to use, operates smoothly, forms nice yarn cakes. I'm just starting out on my yarn adventures so have not used it extensively or for a long time so I can't comment on its sturdiness.
Works Great winds yarn into neat usable balls without any knots as may be found in the original manufactures skein. Is a great time saver.
