The T-Rex arrived without the tail...was so sad when my grandson opened his gift and it was totally no good without the tail (holds the batteries).....I had it shipped and the company could not send a tail...said to return entire gift and reorder....too late for that and I don't live there. I will NEVER order from Walmart again...I ordered it on Dec 13...plenty of time to be sent correctly by Walmart.
My son loves it! He is 4y old and has a toddler boy as his best friend and they spent a couple of times playing with it. It's make the sound but it's not annoying, it walks in hard wood or cold floor, it doesn't move in a carpet floor. They love to play fight with this one and it's been resistant... I totally recommend this one for kids between 2 and 4 years old.
T-Rex Dinosaur Toy Walking Dinosaur is a very unique toy. The ultimate roaring, glowing, and walking is great to keep my 3 year old son interested but there is no on/off switch so after hours of listening adults and older children may want to pull their hair out. Plus side is that the battery compartment is within the tail of this Dino and the tail is removable. Once'd removed the T-Rex doesn't walk, roar, or glow so that is what we have been doing for bed time for our 3 year old and nap time for Ultimate T-Rex.
Remember those popping toys every child is gifted that the parents want to throw away? This is far worse. The CifToys Walking T-Rex is around a foot tall, it walks, lights up, has a ‘realistic' appearance, and would actually be a pretty awesome toy... IF it wasn't so absurdly loud and annoying. There is no volume control on this toy and the repetitive sounds are enough to drive a person bonkers after only a few minutes. The only way to stop the obnoxious noise is to completely turn it off. It's the perfect toy for a Dino loving child, especially if you want to laugh sinisterly as said child uses it to torture their parents. The battery door was missing the screw to hold it in place, luckily I had one on hand, but this could be fatal if a small child were to get ahold of the batteries. Perhaps if they revisit this one and provide a volume adjustment, and a screw to keep it safe for smaller children I could recommend it.
The Tyrannosarus Rex was an immediate hit with my 3 year old son. He was thoroughly impressed by the bright lights, roars, and movement (it walks, lightly swings his tail, and opens and slowly opens and closes his mouth). I was less than impressed for the simple reason that it is LOUD and there is no volume button! It does one loud screeching sound over and over, very loudly and there is no option to keep on the other features and just turn off or down the sound. It also did not include the screw to keep the battery compartment closed (even though there is a spot for one) and my toddler managed to get the batteries out which is quite dangerous.
