Sun Dolphin Aruba 10' Sit-in Kayak Blue, Paddle Included

I'm very happy with my kayak! It's a great beginner kayak for just paddling around, using on the lake, etc. It's fairly flat on the bottom so while it might not track as well as a expensive kayak, it's very hard to tip so it's easy just to relax and float around on. I find it actually tracks pretty well too. The storage seems to stay pretty dry with the gasket on there too! The only reason it got 4 stars instead of 5 is because of few little details and flaws. The leg pads are uneven on mine (one is further up than the other) but it doesn't affect the usage at all. The foot pegs are also very hard to adjust, it's a cheap kayak and you can tell by the pegs because they don't lock in very well. I also wish it had a cup holder but I can always add one. The paddle that comes with it does not have grip or padding and is very basic, but works fine. I just wrapped some waterproof athletic tape around the handles to make grips. Overall very happy with my Sun Dolphin!!

So far I haven't had any problems with it. I've only use it 3 times and it has done to job. You can tell is not a highend kayak. That being said, this is not like a pro kayak, just for beginners. But I don't need anything fancy. Just something to keep me afloat. So this is perfect and affordable for that. I'm very happy with it.

This kayak was a pleasant surprise. Easy to carry, easy to get into from several different scenarios. I'm 62 and had no problem going four miles on a local lake. I bought two and we love them. I did add the rod holders and a small (3 1/2 lb) anchor. We use the rod holder for the golf umbrellas for shade when not fishing. The seats are comfortable with adjustable back rest, we did add foam cushion seats cut from 2" foam. The oars are ok, but you might want to add foam on the handle to prevent blisters if going on a trip more then 2 hrs. Or wear bicycle gloves. Great deal for entry level, most the others we looked at were in the $400 and up range, we got two of these for under $500.

I purchased this for my daughter for her 22nd birthday. She loves pink and sent me the link to this kayak. She absolutely loves it. I am experienced kayaker and had my doubts as to what we'd be getting for the price. Surprise, it's a nice little kayak. My daughter has paddled other kayaks in the lower price range and was very happy to find this one tracked better and didn't have miscellaneous items attached in locations that would interfere with paddling. The kayak itself has a large cockpit making it easier to get in and out of. As well, the width makes it more stable on the water. The included paddle is a nice touch. If you want a kayak for the kids to play around in or to see if kayaking is something you'd like I wouldn't have any problem recommended this one.

My husband and I just bought a cabin on a small lake as a second home. He bought a Jon boat and I wanted a kayak. The Sun Dolphin is just perfect for what I need to explore the lake. I feel secure when I am sitting in the kayak and it moves across the lake with little effort. The seat and the knee pads provide the comfort I need and I like being able to adjust the foot pads. I am enjoying my "new toy" and have a hard time sharing!!!
