Sun Dolphin Mackinaw 15.6' 3-Person Canoe, Green

The item shipped fast, but the shipping company misplaced the item and took longer to get to me. The canoe itself is well made and easy to move around. The middle "cooler" seat is about worthless though. I just used it to hide a Battery I mounted for some LED Lights I installed. The cooler latch is horrible and wont stay closed. I will add a better latch to keep it closed. Overall I would recommend the canoe.

I'm giving this canoe a 4 star rating only because I haven't had a chance to get it out on the water yet...as for how it looks and how well it seems to be made...5 stars...it has a solid one piece hull and by that I mean no rivets or screws in the boat except for around the upper edge or rails... can't wait to get on the river...

After reading the various negative reviews regarding the condition of the canoe on delivery I've been holding my breath for it to arrive at my home. At 12:01pm Pilot Shipping delivered mine between the previously established 11am-3pm delivery window in a string reinforced plastic bag. Gave it a thorough check: a few small scratches on the keel, all seat screws fine, the required Manufacture's Statement of Origin was in the ice chest. Being too wide to transport through the front yard gate, used my previously bought canoe dolly to transport half a block around to alley to my garage. A very solid canoe (why it's heavy) and appears very stable with the wider width. Will spend the winter modifying it with various add-ons for a summer canoe trip from Columbus, Ohio to Mobile, Alabama via the Ohio & Mississippi River. A terrify buy from Walmart at $399 & $9.97 shipping when it's sold for up to $799. and $170 shipping from other retailers! Thanks Walmart (and Synchrony Bank for the credit card to buy it)!

I have to caveat my review by saying we haven't had the canoe in the water yet (it's January in MN) but my family and I are really impressed by the quality construction and design features (built in cooler, molded seats, fishing pole and paddle holders, etc.) of the Sun Dolphin 156. It's wide stance should ensure that my 3 and 5 year old kids feel safe. The molded plastic (poly) is super thick and dent resistant. It arrived in pristine condition earlier than expected. It's heavy but not impossible to lift and move alone. The price is a steal versus competitive offerings. Side note, this is the first time I've used Walmart.com (and the first time I've shopped at WMT in 10+ years). Can't say enough good things about their customer service, ease of use, confirmation/update emails, shipping and price competitiveness (they crushed online and traditional peers). Will think twice about blindly using AMZN in the future. Thanks!

Ordered the Sun Dolphin canoe in mid may. took over a month to arrive. as walmart is loading the plastic covered canoe on top of my suv, noticed 3 large holes in the bottom of the canoe. they took the canoe back but would not reorder it for me, said I had to go back home and order it on my computer. and wait another month for it to come in.
