Shoreline Marine 6' Aluminum Oar

Very light weight / quality oar for the price point! The small diameter of this oar shaft would dictate casual use in my opinion & as mentioned by others, does create some what of a challenge when shopping for oar locks. I resolved the problem by splitting a scrap piece of plastic pipe lengthwise and using it as a shim to take up the excess space between the oars shaft and lock.

A lot more rugged than I thought. Very solid, no defects and works great in my 14ft aluminum boat both as paddles and locked in oars. I use with round oar locks and I couldn't be happier! 6ft is perfect!

Excellent oars, excellent price.

These oars are very nice, especially at this price- of course they cost a lot more on other sites, so as always it pays to shop around. I had bought a set of adjustable oarlocks at the same time, and used the padding on the oars to help protect them from getting gouged up during use. The only very minor disappointment was the cap on the end of the oars. I wish they had put a nice pressed fit plug to fill the ends, but that's just me. Instead they used a plastic push-on cap, which is fine, it just doesn't match the high quality of every other detail. For the money, these are a real bargain and I'd buy them again in an instant, if need be.

Bought these oars, "Shoreline Marine 6' Aluminum Oar", for a 12 ft. flat bottom fishing boat. From what I can tell they will work perfectly. Light weight and sturdy.
