I have used the light version if ICBINB for many many years and this new recipe is just awful in taste, color and it doesn't melt on things. When I put it on my hot toast it just sits there. I don't know why you changed the recipe, but I just can't purchase it any longer. I hope if you change it back you will do a media campaign and let us all know. I would buy the old recipe if it returns.
The new ICBINB Light tastes as bad as Blue Bonnet Light. It doesn't melt into toast, it just clots on top. It doesn't improve any food to which I add it. I loved the old recipe for ICBINB Light. If that's available anywhere, please tell me where so I can go get it.
I purchased the new ICBNB lite and it tasted like Crisco. It wouldn't melt on anything let alone hot toast. I was so upset I went out and bought another tub of the Original and it was changed also. That's it I don't even know what else to buy. I had a little bit left from an old tub and now I'm hoarding it. Please change it back.
This new change is horrible. It has no flavor and the consistency is not like butter, does not melt. I have used ICBINB for years and now will switch brands. Will not buy it again. Why would you change and ruin a good product. Also the square tub is a bad idea. Some fridges have a round indentation for round tubs. Returned it to the store today. Until you change it back.....no more! Makes me very unhappy to lose ICBINB.
I love the new packaging, and sincerely appreciate your effort to provide consumers with simple/healthier ingredients. I do my best to avoid products made with GMO ingredients, hormones, etc., and "packaged" foods. I purchase organic produce, and put in the extra effort to make fresh, nutritious meals for my family each day. For a number of years, I have used the original ICBINB Light thinking that it was a much healthier alternative to butter. Admittedly, I now feel a little stupid that I have been consuming a product that was apparently so unhealthy that it required such a dramatic change. However, I join the overwhelming number of people taking the time to provide you with a negative review of the "new and improved" ICBINB Light. I forced this product down twice - just to give it a fair chance - before I tossed it in the trash. The "new and improved" product is too soft to properly scoop out with a butter knife - then slides right off of the knife and plops onto the counter before I can get it to my hot toast. When I do manage to get it onto my toast, it seems just to sit on top of the toast. It does not melt - just sits there while the toast cools and hardens. The color is rather off-putting as well - so bright yellow it looks artificial. The taste is . . . well . . . incredibly lacking in flavor. Combine all of that with the terrible coating of oil (or something?) left in my mouth after eating the "new and improved" ICBINB Light, and I'm left with absolutely no reason to purchase this product again. So - the hunt is on for a truly healthy alternative to butter - with a tolerable texture, taste and melting point - as the "new and improved" ICBINB Light misses its mark by miles.
