I like that it comes from animals that are humanely raised and fed a 100% vegetable grain fed diet. This makes Greenfield stand apart from the rest. When I opened the package I saw that they weren't kidding when they say thick slices! These bacon slices are super thick. Actually, they are the thickest ones that I have ever seen. Now, even though I cook it, my husband is the bacon eater in the house. He also was impressed with how the bacon looked right out of the package. Most importantly, he thoroughly enjoyed Greenfield bacon in his breakfast sandwich. Unfortunatley, I forgot to take a picture of the completed sandwich but I did get to take a picture of one of the cooked bacon slices. My husband commented that it was one of the best bacons that he has ever eaten in his life. This is coming from someone who appreciates a good piece of bacon and has tried more than a few brands. It fried up great, lots of meat, didn't curl up like I have experienced before with other bacons and the flavor was excellent. I served my husband a BLT and he even commented on the flavor. Applewood Smoked Uncured Bacon is pork raised with no antibiotics or growth hormones. It is humanely raised with 100% vegetarian feed as well as being gluten free and crate free gestation. This bacon cooked well with almost no shrinkage. The flavor was phenomenal. I had a delicious BLT and bacon bits for my salad. I definitely recommend this bacon and am so glad I tried it as it will definitely be my go to!
