GE 7.0 cu. ft. Capacity DuraDrum Electric Dryer with HE SensorDry

I was skeptical about a electric drier because all I ever used were gas driers. This dryer dries my clothes in less time then the gas driers I used in the past. This drier is the best in its class considering the price that I paid. I will not hesitate to buy another.

Purchased appliance a couple of months ago and have not had any problems with it. I like how it's quiet and gives you multiple options for drying such as heat (high, low, no heat for fluffing pillows or dewrinkling), time, and level of dryness. Also a lows you to customize and save your preferred settings for the multiple dry cycles it has (towel/sheets, delicates, perm press, mixed loads, cottons, energy saver, and more). Energy efficient in the sense that it has its own cycle to use less energy and turns off when it is done and has been ready for an extended amount of time. I love how it senses how dry the clothes are and dries them effectively. Does not leave them moist unless you customize the dry level to damp. Love this product depending on how long my washer lasts will buy matching washer!!

I bought this dryer three months ago when my old one decided to never shut off! This one follows all the rules. There are so many settings and options! I love the de wrinkle mode. No more touch ups with a hot iron. Plus the delicate cycle makes hand washing a thing of the past. Since there are only two of us in our household, it doesn't get too much of a workout, but it can hold its own! We found that out when we had 19 people staying with us for a week! It was almost in constant use, drying everything from tiny loads of baby clothes to huge loads of beach towels, and it performed like a true workhorse! My 5 year old granddaughter particularly loved the little song it plays when it powers up or down. This is a wonderful dryer with many settings and options. I would highly recommend it to everyone.

My old GE dryer finally gave out. Had it since 1973 with no issues at all until it gave out complete two months ago. It was like part of the family. I was skeptical to get a new one but the new GE dryer is terrific. Love all the new features and quiet motor. Does a fabulous job in drying my clothes. Thanks for the improvements.

The dryer cord connection is in the most difficult place GE could find outside of the drum. It is at the extreme bottom of the rear which requires long kneeling to make the connections. Measure the distance from your outlet to the floor where you will be installing this dryer before buying a cord. Trying to reverse the door may not be possible because the filler plugs break off easily when trying to remove them. I just said to heck with it and left the door in place. It takes a lot of reading and button pushing to get a handle on the operation.
