Maytag MEDP575GW 7.4 Cu. Ft. White Top Load Electric Dryer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this because our old dryer went out and the cost to repair it exceeded the original cost of the machine. This is a little more expensive than the alternatives, but its built to last and gets the job done. Really impressed by the length of the warranty. We expect to use this machine for a very long time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose this Maytag 575 series commercial-grade residential dryer with the idea of later buying a matching 575 series washer to replace our 2019 Speed Queen TR series washer. While the dryer's drying function is excellent, build quality is very good, and controls are straightforward, for this machine to be suitable for residential use there should be a kill switch on the control panel for the alarm buzzer. Our Maytag dryer is in a downstairs basement laundry room with the alaundry room door closed and the door to the basement stairs is closed and the alarm buzzer can be heard up in the living quarters if we're using the dryer at night. My wife hates the dryer because of this issue after I chose this Maytag and recommended it to her.
